Six things that make the difference between reading scores and using them.

Local strong, CAPR weak? Know which one you’re being paid on

The asset is rising but lagging the market. That is fine in absolute terms and a problem in relative ones. Decide which of those you are measured against before you decide whether it matters.

Respect the Weekly, act on the Daily

The Weekly score defines the regime you are in. The Daily score is where change shows up first. Using one where you meant the other is the most common way to misread the platform.

Watch transitions, not just levels

A steady 5 and a fresh 5 look identical in a column of numbers and are not the same thing. That is what the score change column and the consecutive-weeks count are there for. A score that has just moved is carrying more information than one that hasn’t.

Use volatility for context

A high-volatility asset will whipsaw its Daily score more than a low-volatility one, for the same underlying trend. The Vol Cat column ranks each asset’s 30-week volatility against the other assets in the same list that day — stocks against stocks, digital assets against digital assets — bottom decile Low, top decile High, everything else Medium. It’s relative, so the boundaries move with the market.

Judge score noise accordingly: a 5→3→5 in a High-vol name may be nothing at all, while the same path in a Low-vol name is worth a look.

Check breadth before chasing

A lone 5 in a weak sector is fragile. A 5 in a sector full of 4s and 5s has the wind behind it. The group pages exist to answer this in about ten seconds, and it changes the odds more than almost anything else on this list.

Let the rules be boring

The score doesn’t know what the company does, what the news says, or what you paid. That is the feature. When a score disagrees with your view, the useful question is not “is the score wrong?” but “what is it seeing that I’m not?” — and sometimes the honest answer is that the trend simply isn’t there yet.
